Skiing activities
The Kamea Pension is a convenient starting point for lovers of skiing and snowboarding.
There are three ski resorts in Ždiar itself, the Strachan Ski Centre (open until 9:00 p.m.), Bachledova Dolina and Strednica. In addition, you can reach the ski centres in Tatranská Lomnica, Jurgowa and Białka Tatrzańská in 15 minutes by car.
Bachledka Ski & Sun
On the slopes of Spišská Magura, you can enjoy a great family skiing trip. You can take the 10-seater Bachledka cable car to the ridge and to the Bachledek children's area. In just 6 minutes, you can ride comfortably, safely, dry and without any wind from Bachledova Dolina to the top of Spišská Magura. More skilled skiers can also use the 4-seat Jezersko cable car and 6 other ski lifts, which guarantee skiing in three interconnected valleys.
Bachledka Ski&Sun ski resort offers visitors up to 8.5 km of pistes of all levels of difficulty. Lovers of modified Manchester, as well as those who are attracted by "freeride", will find something for themselves too. During the season, a total of 6 km of pistes are snow-covered and groomed.
Strednica SKI Centre
The Strednica Ski Centre in Ždiar is a ski centre and a well-known tourist destination with an unforgettable view of Ždiarska Vidla and Havran, which are the dominant features of the Belianske Tatras. It is one of the largest and oldest resorts in the High Tatras area, skiing here has had a long tradition since 1952.
The resort has six lifts, an open chairlift and two cross-country trails. The total transportation capacity of the center is 6,900 people per hour, which makes it one of the largest. The ski centre is primarily intended for families with children and beginners. The slope at the four-seater, on the other hand, is for more demanding skiers especially because of its greater slope. There is also a ski school in the resort.
Ski centrum Strachan
The STRACHAN SKI CENTRE / STRACHAN SKI CENTRUM/ is located in Ždiar, right next to the Strachan Wellness Pension. Enjoy a unique skiing experience in the lap of Spišská Magura and the Belianske Tatras. You can ski on the daily groomed and snow-covered slopes during the day and in the evening. The resort is suitable for both complete beginners and experienced skiers. Children under 5 years of age can ski for free. Fans of cross-country skiing will also enjoy themselves - along the ridge of Spišská Magura with a track length of 12 km.
